REVIEW - Matched (Matched #1) by Ally Condie

Synopsis:

Cassia has always trusted the Society to make the right choices for her: what to read, what to watch, what to believe. So when Xander's face appears on-screen at her Matching ceremony, Cassia knows with complete certainty that he is her ideal mate... until she sees Ky Markham's face flash for an instant before the screen fades to black.

The Society tells her it's a glitch, a rare malfunction, and that she should focus on the happy life she's destined to lead with Xander. But Cassia can't stop thinking about Ky, and as they slowly fall in love, Cassia begins to doubt the Society's infallibility and is faced with an impossible choice: between Xander and Ky, between the only life she's known and a path that no one else has dared to follow.

REVIEW:

I had this series for a long time on my shelves and I wanted to read it, because it sounded really good, but everytime I hear about it are just bad things. People hate it, they say that is bad, boring and so on. But guess what? I really enjoyed it! I’m happy that I read it and I can’t wait to read the next two books.

I don’t know what people found boring in this book, because the world in nice and interesting, we find out a lot about it and how things are going, nothing is left unclear. The writing style is so beautiful and still simple and cursive and lovely and you can feel all the emotions and feelings.

I loved each one of the characters. Cassia, Xander and Ky are so cute and strong and ambitious and even they listen to the rules, apparently, they do what they want, they search for answers, they want to be free, to feel everything and every emotion.

And guess what? I didn’t had a problem with the love triangle in this book! It wasn’t cliché, didn’t bite my ass, the characters were ok, the guys were cool and they didn’t tried to be awesome or powerful to impress Cassia. They were themselves, and everything was so natural and well written. If I should choose I don’t know which one… And I think is a hard decision to make.

So, please don’t listen to the voice of majority and bad reviews because this is not a bad book. Is not a bad series. I liked so much and I will devour the next too and the next one. I don’t care what the others say but if a book like this – awesome, unique, interesting, beautiful – is boring, them I ask myself what’s the truth about the “aweome” ones. So, check this out, because surely this will be one of me favorite for this year!

5/5
